Before Jim retires somebody should tie him down for an interview to discuss an overview of his career, what led him towards digital cinema, a small history of Red, and the vision for Red's future. I think that would be important and very moving.

** and come to think of it, I think it would be appropriate for Jarred to conduct the interview himself. He's got a bit more insight on the whole vision and has been there throughout.
thats actually not a bad idea...
Maybe three cameras rolling.
Man. If we could only find some cameras.
thats actually not a bad idea...
... Jim is not the kinda guy that would play himself in a movie and nobody else on this planet could ever represent him well enough...
That would be cool, but Jim is not the kinda guy that would play himself in a movie and nobody else on this planet could ever represent him well enough...
No books, yet you ended up receiving Honors at Entrance that year and coming out #2 in a class of 1300... I wouldn't call that luck... I would call that special. You might not read.. but it sure isn't due to a lack of Vision.

Jim is an amazingly humble guy given his tremendous ( and multiple ) successes.. many of them not made public.
Every once in awhile I find out about some other massive achievement that he has accomplished along the way and it blows my mind...

Even though it isn't my business, you did bring it up, so... yeah, blood pressure medication worries me quite a bit - as do many pharmaceuticals. And in most cases, high blood pressure - if that's what you have - can be fixed naturally (e.g. potassium, proper hydration, whatever). Blood pressure medication is merely a symptom suppressor. I cannot comment on specific cases, so find a physician who can get you properly healthy. It's your choice anyway. I'm not a physician, BTW. But I am aware that enough medical knowledge is out of date before a doctor gives it to his first patient.blood pressure meds. And cigars.
What did he study? Wikipedia does not say. Forbes does not say (it says he dropped out - lucky for us!). His own website does not say.No books, yet you ended up receiving Honors at Entrance that year and coming out #2 in a class of 1300... I wouldn't call that luck... I would call that special. I'm surprised that it has not yet been done.Someone needs to write a book... Seriously.
Yes. Though I'm interested in his whole life, not just this part of it. A mere overview just won't cut it!Before Jim retires somebody should tie him down for an interview to discuss an overview of his career, what led him towards digital cinema, a small history of Red, and the vision for Red's future. Everyone knows I have several personality disorders. That isn't a secret.
What may surprise you is that I have only read one book (cover to cover) in my life. True enough.
I glean, scan, pay attention, and keep my eyes and ears open... but I don't read books. Make no mistake, I can read. My attention span is just too short to read 100+ pages. I have the attention span of a ferret on crystal meth. I don't really do drugs of any kind. Well... blood pressure meds. And cigars.
The only book I ever read front to back, cover to cover... was The Hobbit. That was in 1969 while at USC.
How ironic.
Think about this for a minute. And you just might get how unbelievable this all is to me.
What a life...
The Hobbit. Shot on RED.
