  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

COACH...

Bravo. I remember I was quite shocked when I found out that Missoni was able to print billboards on the streets in Italy from R3Ds I shot for them. Come to think of it I should have been compensated! Power of R3D. Nice work.

That's an interesting point...if you are shooting footage intended for motion delivery does anyone have any stipulations in their contracts regarding using the stills for other commercial purposes?

Really? What do you know of their methods, or how it looked? I've never heard anything good about current up-Rez tech. The Coach window had me wondering... But a billboard???

I have no doubt. Myself, I did a huge wall-poster for a boardroom from an aerial photo I've taken with 10 MPx camera (less then RED ONE). It was upscaled using Photoshop with Genuine Fractals plugin and printed to 4m x 1.8m size. While this is not billboard - this boardroom photo is watched from a distance of less then a meter and people can't see any pixellation - it does look really well. Billboards in reality require much less resolution (even bellow 70ppi), since they are always watched from distance of 10's of meters...

Completely agree. While I have never done an actual billboard I don't see any problems arising from using the Red. It's not much difference than projecting an image on a 40' screen which the Red has no problem with. In fact, most billboards you'd probably be further away than sitting in a theater.

Billboards are usually seen from quite a distance . (That's the point of them really.) They are often printed at 10ppi or less. The aspect ratio can be a lot wider.

8) opened and anxious
