Hello Everyone,

I want to share my first official product review on my new blog page! If you are in the market for Ronin Extension Arms, I would highly recommend CNC Film Gears 50mm Extensions. They are easy to install, high quality, competitively priced, and fit perfectly

Let me know if you guys have any questions!

i just recieved a pair of these today in the mail. and i must agree they are well made and work well. I dont understand why someone would spend 2x the money on the ones from Cinemilled. I cant justify the $400 price tag on those.

Received mine today, installed and am... less than thrilled. Huge amount of binding when installed. When installed, the alignment is bad enough that the arms flex when moving the tilt axis to its front-most or back-most position. Been working on it for a while, trying to tweak here an there without success. I'll be contacting the manufacturer to see what they have to say.

mine are installed, love them, fit perfectly. Although I may try to get by without them and use thinner Vmount batteries.. It makes it MORE tiring to hold when the camera is sticking even further from your body with arm extensions... Might be selling mine soon

I think the same used the ronnin with extensions and all I can say is that I do not see much good use in them. The rig gets out of balance and you need.. longer arms and also if you really use them to their full extend then the camera will any way scrape the top of the rig when tilting over and such. Also if the camera is so big that they would come handy then most likely you also built up enough weight so you are at a level where the "g force" of that long camera will start to take its toll on the motors and the whole rig will start to preform not as good.

I think we will buy a our own ronin for our next project and then I will stirve to build it very differently. My idea is to power the camera from the ronin Dtap and swap ronin batteries more often instead of having separate camera power. And also make sure to use small lenses and the smallest filters and lowlight filter trays and FF system. As every gram that goes into the balanced part of the rig will hurt the preformance of the kit... so to me trying to make it able to take bigger cameras and batteries and such is not the way to go.

Powering the Red from Dtap of Ronin ? Not " Amp rated " I think... I'm running it from my Battery Belt clip and it's work flawless, saving a lot of pounds on my arm and I don't have to buy more than 3 Ronin battery for one complete day!

You can't power the camera from the Ronin's P-tap. That would make life easy, but the output is not rated for the amperage you need.
I have the battery sitting on the top bar, and have a cable feeding it from there. Unless you have the battery on a belt or similar, you will be caring that weight. I chose the top bar so the motors wouldn't have to deal with the battery's weight, leaving me a much larger room for error on the balance side of things, making it much less critical.
