I've finally gotten the chance to actually film something that moves on the Scarlet-X. I've recorded some more stuff and we've even done a short film with lots of record time. After that I know that two 64gig SSDs aren't enough to do dual backups. Either need eSata on set or more SSDs. Both would be good.

Here's the article with thoughts and more stills on the above clip: http://www.cinema5d.com/news/?p=9355

Awesome!
And yeah the r3d's would be cool!

wicked amount of warp stabilizing! Must of taken you ages to render that out! Great test! Though it's hard to get a feel of motion when there is so much motionblur from stabilizing...

This test has me leaning towards a Scarlet again, I will wait as long as I need to to get one. I will continue to rent until then, great test! I no longer hear the "but where is the footage?" crap anymore.

And while I'm on it here's my short Scarlet-X video review I just uploaded: http://www.cinema5d.com/news/?p=9409

I'm aware and ashamed of the heavy motion smoothing. I used DaVinci and all I found was I could either turn it on or off and every other setting didn't matter much. Didn't have enough time to waste further so that was the result. If anybody knows the trcik I'm eager to know. Cheers
