Does RED realy hold the whites? Definitively yes, and the blacks? Yes. See some stills from my last shot in a kind of retro corporate fiction about a hospital, where clients have to treat it's self. Used 14 and 35mm zeiss standard, some kinoflo's, and existing neonlight from the original location.

Great shots!

Great shots!

Graeme

Great camera, thank you and RED for this tool. You can't imagine how happy I am to shoot my future work with this technology, it helps to put my ideas one to one on the screen. As I would see it through my eyes.

Excellent work, great concept... my compliments to everyone involved.

Excellent work, great concept... my compliments to everyone involved.

Thanks Andrew: My business partner Reto Waser directed the project, then there were involved:
Styling: Monica Keller
Make-up: Marc
Grip: Mirco Rhis, Michel Blumental
Camera Assistant: Grisu Grisiger
Grafics: Aldo Bombelli
File Backup: Stefan Vogel

And the cast: Main Part a known actress in CH, the rest are casted people from the hospital.

You see, in a small country like Switzerland, there are small teams working ;-)

It wasn't really the close-ups, but more the feel of the images...
But he DID closeups, even though Playtime was the thing coming to mind :)

Closeup :)

But I'm not trying to do a Sanjin here, just trying to give a compliment.
If I'm wrong, I am so with pride!

Cheers!

I anderstood what you mean gunleik and didn't want to ofense you by anyway. Jaques Tati is my hero and playtime is his master piece unfortunately missanderstood.
I think the close up of mon oncle is more of a still from the set.
Cheers

I love Tati very much, for him, the camera was never used as an actor, more as a frame in which things happened. That was my main idea behind this shooting. As you say it GUNLEIK, Tati shot also close-ups ;-), indeed very few. The camera was a stage on which he did his nonverbal actings.

Great stuff!

Jim

sweet. even though i don't like the effect... i still find it mind blowing how you got there and truly acheived this look that you had in mind... i bet this would be super difficult to do on film.
