  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Clayton Haskell

Here is the 1st image when I yanked the camera out of the box. I was playing with some look settings and accidentally knocked the saturation way up but liked the look at the end. This is my turkey, her name is Turkey...she is a vicious little scottish fold. Turkey was a star in the 1st days since I had no batteries and was limited to how far I could roam. You will see more of Turkey. ;)

Clayton! Tell me your impressions of the Compact Primes!? You are in a great position as an epic owner with these.... And congrats!

The picture of Turkey reminds me of that still that Laforet pulled from his son. The Epic is taking truly incredible pictures.. Can't wait for my X

Great, compact, light weight lenses with the same optical quality found in the ZFs (If I stand correct, its the exact same glass as the nikon/canon Zeiss Z lens series, rehoused for PL) They have more iris blades the ZFs which may result in a touch smoother bokeh.
CPs have a cool neutral zeiss look, lots of samples on vimeo. I recently wrapped a feature with them, the Director (Bing Bailey) and I felt they were a good choice for that particular film (zombie film) and considering our budget. I am actually just testing these as I have not yet decided on what glass to own personally but in the mean time I am having fun loaning some new glass coming from Angienaux and cooke as well, more to come on all of the above.

The glass is identical to the CP.2's. The housings and mechanicals are different, as are the apertures. I Test both the ZFs and the CP.1's, and the images are basically identical between them.

Z" series in many mounts, including ZF (Nikon), ZE (Canon), ZA (Sony Alpha), ZS (M42 "Pentax Screwmount"), ZK (Pentax/Samsung bayonet).

I have had the recent pleasure of testing the new Angie 45mm - 120mm T2.8, there are only 3 of these in the world that I am aware of and all i can say is its one of the finest zooms I have ever used in my life. If your in the market I would seriously consider this glass, its a work of art and lives comfortably on the EPIC. DP John Bregal made this possible for a epic project I can not speak of but I managed to sneak some test shots I can share if your interested.

Yes, that's a gorgeous lens. So jealous and really loved how small and solid it was when I saw at NAB.

Agreed. You will really appreciate the endless configurations, this one I call the lunch box. Some times less is more. :coolgleamA:
