Clayton, such a nice room with a view under the tent...have a good time...happy shooting!!!

Jeez! How can you stand it? The conditions look insufferable. :sarcasm:

Seriously though, that looks like a gorgeous place to be this time of year.

Yeah this area is pretty majestic and undiscovered...I am very excited about this project as its bringing awareness to some sacred areas of BC that are about to get destroyed by the oil industries. I am rolling with Summer Rayne and Wade Davis who is a badess, a real life indiana jones type. Lots of goods to come from EPIC-M 727.

Quick question, I am in the wilderness and my connection is sparse so if anyone could help that would be great. Is it possible to record Audio direct into the EPIC body from wireless Sennheiser G2 lav kit? I notice levels when I plug the lev mic direct into the EPIC body but when I go through the transmitter and the receiver the levels are very VERY low, when I gain up the units it gets all distorted. Anyone have any experience with these?
THanks in advance,
best

C

ah.. home sweet home :)

as for the G2.. yes you can. play with the levels till it sounds right. Audio support is pretty prehistoric in the current software build but it will work.. I use the G2's all the time.

Home sweet home for me as well. Gotta love BC!

Awesome Jared, thanks for getting back to me on that. I am back in the states now and still trying to decompress from BC. I did not know you were from there...what an incredible wilderness, I am sure to return. I had a great opportunity to work with Wade Davis who is the Author of "Serpent and the Rainbow" and many other books, he is basically indiana jones. It was an EPIC shoot that involved canoeing the rivers, back packing, and helicopter arials so I really got a good taste for the area.

I even got lost on the way home and ended up near the pan handle of Alaska and saw my 1st glaciers! Look forward to showing you some images from your home land.

I need to update firmware, I am a little out of the loop since that trip...anything new? ;)

EPIC-M 727 with a zeiss Lightweight zoom 15.5-40 from BIGAPPLEFILMS, this litte beast packs a punch.

I wanted to illustrate again how incredible it is to operate lean and mean with EPIC. Worth the wait so hang in there folks!
Shooting over the sacred headwaters of British Columbia, a campaign I jumped on board for ABOVE
