Hey Guys, not spamming, just wanted to share a project I've been working on for a while. It's called CineCoil.

www.cinecoil.com

It's a line of cables specifically designed for film production. Our first, and main product is our coil BNC cable. It stretches to allow mobility of on board monitors and recorders. Happy to say B&H will be carrying them, and working on a few west coast distributors too.

They are not for sale yet, and thats why I'm looking for feedback.

Would like to know what the community would like to have. Our main cable is 20", and we plan for a 10" version as well. Please leave some comments of other cables you would find helpful in a coil style!

Congrats ! Looks like a great product, most important would be different lengths and connectors, BNC, HDMI, MINI HDMI for DSLR's and Audio Cables etc...
For BNC /SDI connectors I would say 3ft, 6ft, 12ft (maximum extension) would be good sizes to start with.
P.S.
Don't forget USB 3 and thunderbolt; could be a big market for a coiled Thunderbolt cable with the new Blackmagic Camera and other manufacturers coming on board.

Thanks for your feedback! We wanted to be careful working with too many cables that dont have locking connections. We are looking into a HDMI version, but again, we dont want people pulling on connections that aren't able to stay in. We are working on some LEMO cables though! :-) Thanks again! Any feedback is great!

SHORT Coiled at 10" (inches) would be FAB for on-board recorder (PIX in my case). AND - avai as STRAIGHT BNCs ??? eg on PIX an angled connector can foul access to other BNCs clustered together. PIX is a bottom-mount rig so STRAIGHTS would be FABulous.
Nice idea regardless. Look forward to getting a few...

Thanks

Thanks for you comments. We had found the majority of AC's preferred to have the right angle, so that was the route we decided to go with at first. We deffinitly want to do a straight version as well, and a 10" version is in the works.

Nice! I have been looking for a BNC like this...it's really difficult to get BNC in and out of the back of my Scarlet with an easy riser XL plate. With your CineCoil, I could leave a 10' all day and just use a barrel conector to take a longer BNC on and off when moving the camera.

What what the LEMO splitter be used for?

I'd love to see a right angle LEMO, as well.

Not to take away from this great product, but a simple BNC right angle like this: http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/produ...T_BNC_RA_ADAPTOR_BNC_Right_Angle_Adaptor.html works great too.

That lemo splitter thats on there is kind of a place holder for now. We are working on a 4 pin LEMO to 3x 4 pin female connector. So you can plug in additional accessories into the main power socket on the EPIC PRO IO.

Something like this: (mockup, not final product.)

Nice... Placed my order!

I saw that come through, thanks! The 10" version will release a tad bit behind the 20", but I'll keep everyone updated on the release dates.

I was just on a feature with Ryland and saw the coiled BNC first-hand. It seemed to perform flawlessly and was well made. All the ACs liked the cable.

Thanks to everyone who posted comments. Happy to announce we are now shipping the 20" BNC cables, with our 10" coming in two weeks. Thanks to the reduser community for all your suggestions.

Cool stuff!
finger over The Button awaiting the Straight-BNC'd coilies...
