  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

CineCoil - Coil based BNC to BNC - HD/SD/3G

I got the 20" coiled BNC in a few days ago, and it is far beefier that I thought it would be. It looks like it'll hold up to on-set life well, and be far easier to work with than my current stiff BNC cables. Ryland took care of me too as I tried to order, including fixing a few bugs and giving me far more reasonable shipping options. I'm almost excited to start using these with my monitor.

Thanks Mathew! Glad they got to you well and you like them in person. Let me know how you like them on set, and please send photos for our site!

Just checking, is there a coily LCD/EVF cable available or on the horizon? That would sole so many of my mounting issues as I need it to be flexible enough for a variety of configurations.

Ryland, I just got the 10" version... Haven't put a signal through it yet, but it fits perfectly with my pix 240 from epic. Glad to have one less dangling cable get caught up in something!

Glad to hear it! Thanks for supporting the project!

If it is built like the 10" BNC cable you make, I want one too.

If we were to only make one EVF cable, what would your ideal length be?

10" un-stretched? Also, 90° to 90°?

Yes to 90 deg. 10 in unstretched sounds about right for the monitor mounted on the camera body. If you were to put the monitor low and forward for hand held work, an 18 or 20 in cable would work better, I think.

Sounds good. Thanks!

I love my BNC CineCoil...looking forward to getting the HDMI on order..whats the ETA?

We are waiting to get confirmation about doing them with HDMI 1.4 certification. Would allow up to a 4K image be transfered over them. We'll definitely keep you updated!

Just got word that Teradek is going to be shipping a CineCoil with all their SDI products starting in late December. Replacing their current BNC that is packaged with their products. Thanks to the reduser community for all your support so far!
