Do you imagine that watching your footage, after this procedure, you will see anything other than a static shot? Actually, all you should see is your depth of field get wider and wider.

Can someone do this and post an example? I think this would look really freaking cool. It's like half of a dolly zoom.

I would imagine that there is some way of doing it with the Motion mount... Maybe there could be a way to sync it with lens with i thecnology and program it to compensate exposure for aperture changes...

This is at a constant f stop which I think any cine lens will do, so it's a constant exposure, you don't need the motion mount. f2.8 for 50mm is a different aperture diameter than f2.8 for 200mm which has an effect on depth of field, but not the exposure.

You definitely can close the aperture while rotating a variable ND to see changes in depth of field without changing resolution or exposure. No zoom needed.

Will we ever see a no-lens camera with large sensor protected by clear glass or OLPF that records what it sees? Then you scale your footage in camera to your desired output? Maybe focus via algorithm.

Also, imagine this situation: Take some 8k Vista Vision sized footage on a nice zoom lens (parfocal, no distortion, constant aperture, etc). While filming, zoom out by 4x magnification, e.g. 200mm to 50mm. Later, in your editing software, keyframe resizing the footage to exactly cancel out the zoom, i.e. 100% to 400%. Resizing your footage is the same as changing the crop factor, 8k to 2k. Do you imagine that watching your footage, after this procedure, you will see anything other than a static shot? Actually, all you should see is your depth of field get wider and wider.

Plus a detail decrease.
