I followed the "CHECK NOISE PROFILE" procedure outlined in the DSMC manual. Basically, you set the FLUT to 8 and look for any patterns in the noise as a way of checking your sensor calibration.

I see subtle, moving horizontal lines when I do this. I have a fresh black shade (with PL cap) and my "Cal:T/E" are in the green, so according to the manual, I should not see any pattern at all. Is this normal?

The reason I am concerned is that if I allow the sensor to run hot and the "Cal:T" turns red, I see this same horizontal pattern of noise in my footage, which is not pretty.

Current temp reads 49/63
ISO 500, 180 deg, 4K HD
Current build is 6.0.35, although this noise issue has happened across multiple builds and multiple sensor calibrations.

The patterns you would be looking for are generally a solid shape that would exist in the field. Motion in the ocean in this case is normal.
