He guys,

Have anyone tested the Kamlan 50mm f1.1 on the RED DRAGON? Or similiar ‘cheap’ creative lenses? and if so what is your recommandation(s)?

I’m looking for some imperfect lenses for style purposes.

The mount is EOS-M (with shorter flangd distance) so basicly the same mount as EF-S.
Lens is relatively cheap - 160€/150$

The flange focal distance on EOS-M is 18mm, well shorter than the Canon EF and EF-s (which is 44mm).

The shortest flange focal distance and mount that RED supports at the moment is Leica-M Mount at 27.80mm.

As to the topic, if you are looking for "creative" glass that's cheap you can adapt a whole lot to Leica-M, Canon-EF, and even PL. Lots of interesting M42 glass for instance that can be snatched up for a few bucks. They are still lenses, but some are rather interesting. Remember all that old Nikon glass can be trivially adapted to Canon EF Mount.

One of my vintage cheap favorites is the Vivitar 28mm f/2.5 lens, which has a long that not much else does.

Bummer, i own Contax Zeiss already; i was looking for some little (cheap) gems; with different looks.
