Always wanted to start a thread with a title like that hehe

I was just wondering, if one wanted to change his epic S35 brain for a FF35 or better.. who would buy just the brain second hand from us? might be a little hard. Unless someone who had a lesser resolution might want one, but that falls in scarlet users.

Can a Scarlet user buy it and put the Epic brain into his scarlet parts?
(io module, cf module etc etc) Or they wont click together?

Will the brains have sensor upgrades saving us that necessity?

thanks for feedback and thoughts :)

The modules will all fit either brains.. There is an adapter plate on the thinner Scarlet brain that takes the system up to the width of the modules. You can swap out any piece of the system, including the brains.

Thats just incredible.. very cool! :)

Right and Left Handed Adaptors?

Right and Left Handed Adaptors?

Have you considered making right and left handed adaptors for the Scarlet to accessory connection? I am thinking that if you are shooting 3D and want to get the two brains as close together as possible it would be nice to have an adaptor on the right that added to the width on the right side and an adaptor on the left that added the width on the left. Of course this might be irrelevant if there are cables coming off the side that would keep you from putting them that close.

Yes please, this is a great suggestion.

Its a great idea.. unfortunately it would technically be impossible to do electronics wise...

for 3D however, you can have both rear compact flash modules going out the back to solve your question.

Fantastic

Fantastic

That is kick-ass.

I've been working through the decision matrix, and it just got a whole lot easier.

One set of lenses, two brains, and mix and match battery, i.o., and recording modules, and I essentially have an A and B cam, a full on cinema cam, DSLR, and light weight run and gun set up, and in a pinch they can serve as hot spares for each other.

Scarlet and Epic, Twin sons of different mothers.

Maybe I'll finally be able to get all my gear in the truck without having to drive in an advanced yoga posture.

:)
