  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

CC 2014 benchmarks so far. Updating as their completed on different systems.

Z10PE-D8 WS. Would never touch a Supermicro board especially since the warranty clock starts when sold to Disti unless things have changed from last time used.

6K at full resolution playback without dropping frames.

I'm not seeing full resolution playback at 6k without dropped frames on the 5960X with a Titan. I can jussssssst about handle 3k (1/2 resolution) without skipping. Is anyone else actually getting true full debayer 6k at 24fps? Are you sure you weren't just playing back from the cache not debayering on the fly?

That was playing back at full resolution preview in Premiere CC 2014. The load started at 100% but didn't stay there and I could not see any dropped frames for a single layer. The transport didnt seem to lag either. I know at 4.5GHz is was clean and the GPU load stayed around 60%.

Gavin how much Ram and what clock speed is your 5960?

Well the E5 V3's are locked but I was able to set the the turbo to 3.1 and get all of the cores to that speed. I believe that is the max turbo for that CPU anyway with all cores active.

Turbo speeds for E5-2697v3

1 core: 3.6
2 core: 3.6
3 core: 3.4
4 core: 3.3
5 core: 3.2
6+ core: 3.1

Stock speed would definitely change the playback results. The CPU clock speed is a large factor with GPU acceleration. However you should be playing back half res without an issue. What is your ram clock speed?
