What are you using to cart around your Mini-Mags? I've got two 512's, one travels in the camera in the pelican case...the other gets sandwiched between other stuff in the case but i'm wondering if anyone can recommend a plastic case for an individual card.

I have a nice hole cut out in my case for the 4-Pack Case. Media is rather important and that case is moderately weather resistant. Keeping MINI-MAGs away from dusty, static charged, or potentially moist areas would be a good idea if you can swing it.

I actually just bought a guy I've been working with up north a 4-Pack Case because he was still using the anti-static bags. He's busted ass for me for two months. Nice to give him something a bit more solid.

Does anyone have a good 3rd party recommendation for small/single SSD mini-mag cases? Looking for a small plastic case just to protect singles while sending them back to base camp / DIT. Thanks.

They're about the size of business cards! Theres a lot of business card holders out there.

The sidewinder case works well too

best solution for one or two mini ssds is this: http://www.hprc.it/en/resin-case_hprc1300.html
i think i have this model, but first version without branding that i got 2 years ago at IBC as a gift from them when i was looking for mini SSD cases
2 of them fit in perfectly and its super small. if you add some padding then one can be in there as well and not moving at all.

Too funny. I was just looking at that yesterday. Are you able to squeeze 2 cards in one pocket?

you can, but can't close it in the 2 pack if you try to fit 2 cards in 1 slot. The lid just isn't long enough to fit nicely. You can fit and close 2 cards in 1 slot with the 4 pack though.

My favorite solution so far is a modified Pelican 0945.

I cut one one side to make it fit a 1.8" Red mag and when I switched to the Mini Mags, I realized that it fit perfectly with cutting out only one of CF dividers. It won't fit 2 cards at a time but it works for whatever size mag I'm using.

I took the HPRC 1300 idea and ran with it. I removed the fitted CF/SD insert and purchased 2 different thicknesses of black foam from the local craft store and created a custom fit. The thin foam covers the entire insert and the thicker piece has a fitted cutout for the cards. I used a little spray adhesive to stick the 2 foam pieces together and the bottom piece stuck to the case. It's dust and water proof and keeps the cards from bumping into each other. I now have two of them to fit my 4 cards.

I dig this, nice work! I'd be tempted to keep a small sheet of the thin foam to just rest between the two cards as just a little added cushion, but it's probably not necessary. Might have to copy this! Although, is there anything to look out for with foam, in regards to if it's anti-static or not? Is that something to worry about?

I'm really liking the idea of the HPRC 1300M. That looks like an awesome way to go!

Because to me it's got to be a hard case and waterproof. The fabric card wallets just don't cut it for me. I want to know these cards are well protected. I have the RED mini mag 4-mag case and I really like that... sometimes I do want a smaller form factor though when traveling. I had a pelican 1010 lying around so I've made use of that and it works really well. However I think the HPRC 1300M would be less bulky.

In the Pelican 1010 I can fit all three cards. I nest them the way RED designed the cards to nest and then I put them in their little plastic bag (Like Phil described above, haha) and then add a little foam so that when the case is closed nothing moves around inside.

The advantage of the Pelican 1010 over the HPRC 1300M I suppose is that I can hold three cards and it's a good fit for that.

The advantage of the Pelican 1010 over the RED 4-mag mini mag case (other than being smaller) is that the Pelican case is stronger, has a better latch, and probably has better water-proofing.

I used my box from my Redmote ..... 2 x pieces of foam ...... The 1st piece was cut an glued to the bottom of the box .

Then with the 2nd piece I cut out rectangles with craft knife so that the Mags were nice and snug ....... cut a finger hole using a dremel with the small sanding band ...... Then glued the two pieces together..... Boom !!

I have been using 2 different kinds of small cases for my RED Mags and both work great...
One is the HPRC 1300m for CF cards and the other is the Pelican 0915 for SD cards.
I Know what your saying right about now.. Those won't fit my RED Mags... Your right. I took some time and did a little customization to the insides of these cases Using an exact knife or box cutter,,, I just removing enough to place my RED Mag in the middle of it with the same rubber cushion that was there for the CF or SD cards...
These are crush proof and water proof but I would not put them in any deeper water than I was willing to risk my Mags in. I would feel comfortable if they fell in the water but would not leave them there long. And they are protected from dropping as well.
The best part is they fit in your shirt or back pants pocket and keep your Mag safe until you can off load it.
Ill try to post some pic's in a min...
But I would recommend these and buy them again and again.
