Friday night in the middle of a white desert on 2900 m. It is cold, windy, the sky clear, full of stars. Around us the swiss alps, on the right side the Matterhorn (see picture). A small crew and two REDs 222/336 are sitting in a small hut. Today it is the first day the sun came out, we shot some great footage in 4K and 2K on 75p and I was praying, please RED guys, give me build 15. So I get on the Web with my mobile and "Heureka", Build 15 was out. I downloaded it and the rest is kind of history. Yesterday I shot some great footage with it, no problem at all. It was about 6 weeks ago when director Jonas Rejman from New York, who was at this time in Switzerland, called me and said: Hi, let's do something together, I have met two crazy guys. They are carving like hell." I said: ok, let's do it.
By the way, thanks to the whole team and specially to Jonas Rejman and Antoine Baumann with 336.
You wanna see the first and probably most crazy shot I did on a steep slope following two carvers with RED222 and brand new build 15? Hehehe, visit

passw: carved
There is a small 5 MB online
It was shot with a canon 8-64 super 16mm, wanted the new angenieux 7-81 which is quiet sharper, but it was rented out.
Thank you RED team for your incredible work, RED222 was running smooth but please: I NEED an EVF, it is so hard to pull focus on this little screen in bright light, it's even impossible for action scenes on ski.
