We try not to go thinner than a 1/2" between cavities.

Comparing softbags to hardcases is like comparing apples to oranges. The Cinecase Run&Gun case is cheaper than Red's factory issue DSMC2 case so I don't feel like it's overpriced, especially for the functionality it provides.

I transport the weapon with 18 inch rails and Reds 9 inch monitor attached etc etc in this. I have some foam blocks I keep in the bag to fill the larger gaps.

I use the SKB iSeries with Think Tank organizers. I like being able to reconfigure for different setups. Every now and then I can put in extra dividers and keep L lenses in there for quick stuff.
But I have a separate case for batts. Could just throw them in here if I didnt need all the accessories or anything.

I've been using a Pelican 1510 w/TrekPak. I can fit a Scarlet-W with SmallRig side handle attached, Sigma 18-35 attached (w/lens support), Sigma 50-100, wireless lav, backup mics, shotgun mic, four Hypercore Slim RED batteries, RED 4.7" monitor, headphones, lens wipes, and more... all fits on an airplane and takes about 20 seconds to deploy for shooting.

I like the Tilopa, http://fstopgear.com/products/packs/tilopa. It will fit under seat when traveling as the overhead spaces quite often are occupied. I use a large ICU and have a corresponding pelican case it fits in if I have to put it in luggage.

I second the F-stop Tilopa. Have been climbing volcanoes in the Caribbean for 7 weeks with an Epic Dragon + additional lenses and gear in this backpack. (Carried a Sachtler Video 20 S1 tripod on a gun sling up the mountain as well.)
I also use a large ICU, but also ’hatchback’ a micro on top of that.
