hello everybody !
I am going to purchase a Carbon Dragon for lightweight usage. I was really enthusiastic when I hold the Carbon Dragon in my hands in the New York RED store.
But it would be perfect to use my Nikon lenses, because they are smaller and loss weight than the PL Mount lenses. I also know, that RED did not recommend
any other Mount that the Magnesium mount with the red screws. I´ve heard about some user, who use the EF mount with the Carbon and so it would be very kind
to get some feedbacks about this.

Thanks all of You !

Andreas

I know someone selling a lightly used Carbon Dragon if you are interested...

To answer your question, he purchased a motion mount along with the CF Dragon and they said there was no issue in using it or any of the other mounts. I've also seen other CF Dragons with standard Titanium PL mounts and no issues. I'd assume any mount would be fine on the CF body.

I have used the non Mg++ PL Motion Mount and the Canon EF Ti mount, without difficulty on my Carbon Fiber. I did ask RED about these mounts, prior to purchasing them.

Thank you very much

You can use whatever DSMC Lens Mounts on Carbon Dragon and they work the same as they do on non-carbon Dragon bodies. However, do not swap out the SSD Side Module or other body components as that's a no no.
