Hey guys,

We're thinking about buying a car mount to rig a epic + red zoom (17-50) to the outside of a car. We are wondering if anybody can chime in as to what to get?

We were thinking about these two options and can't really distinguish on our own what would be best.

OPTION A)http://www.bhphotovideo.com/bnh/con...NTuu5WvrL0CFahlOgod8iQAUQ&Q=&is=REG&A=details

OPTION B) http://www.filmtools.com/filmtools-teenie-weenie-4-cup-camera-mount.html

Any help is greatly appreciated - other suggestions as well.

thanks!

Dimitri

Got a nod in the thread on inexpensive things you can't live without. The reason that I place it here is that it has been on sale for $399.00 US, with purchase of $99.00 US, in even the last month. DJ does run NAB specials, but as of today none announced. They are not exhibiting at NAB this year.

Thank you very much

Ask and you shall receive! Thank you guys! We'll take a look in to these as well.

I have the DJ spider mount. It's a great design and works flawlessly with my RED one.

Id get as many cups as is sensible, no less than 3, but the matthews kit should be fine. We opted for 2 6 inch rather than one 9 inch. One may come un connected some time when you least want it to.

Our own kits are self built, all same 6 inch cups and mini clamps. We use stainless steel and nylon straps where appropriate as a tie down. Bonnet mount is usually easier to rig than a door mount tea tray arrangement.

We also run one separate cup with a small rod attached to it to clamp on top of the camera to take out any vibration.

You guys are fantastic. We eneded up going with the Spyder mount. Thank you Sunil, Dave, Wil, Nick and Marcos. Let's hope we feel this is secure enough.
