I had an 84 rabbit GTi and an 88 16v. Miss the vdubs. SO fun to drive!

I had an 84 GTI too. I loved driving around the mountain roads in upstate NY, although it did like to lift the inside rear wheel (off the road!) on super tight turns until I added strut braces.

No pictures around to show but I had a 73 Datsun 240Z that I did major upgrades to in my parents garage. With the help of some guys at Datsun racing, I bought a pile of race parts and went to work in my spare time. Used a 2.8L block bored out to 3.0L, original 240 head for higher compression, medium lift cam (good for low/mid range torque on the mountain roads), 3x2 barrel Mikuni carbs, lowered springs, struts, rear diff, 5 speed... etc. Oh, and flared rear fenders with super wide rubber.

The thing was an animal. I had to sell it before I killed myself.

Hell ya I'm a car guy. I drive a Kia (meh I know) but my dad was an Alfa Romeo collector and has been losing his collection ever since had had kids. Anyways, I mostly take pictures of cars so here are a couple. Sorry if you have seen these already, they were in the photography thread as well. Theses were shot with a 1970's Nikon Ftn with Kodak Ektar 100 and Ilford 400.

Dream Car: Well its 2, I'd love a 1974 911 Carrera RSR Turbo in Black and a 996 GT3 RS in Orange.
