We had the pleasure to get our hands on a set of Canon Sumire Primes last week.
They feel pretty solid and I really like the size and weight!
I‘ve hoped they would be a bit more similar to the K35.. however, have a look yourself.
We did a lens shootout including them at around 15:10:

Sumires look pretty lackluster, eh? Not really surprising given the last CN-E primes ;)

Great test!!

Canon Sumire Vs. Canon CNE Vs. Sigma Cine Prime Side By Side Test

By Habibi Film Rentals

Results of our Side by Side test of the Canon Sumire Vs. Canon CNE Vs. Sigma Cine Prime Side by Side test at Habibi Film Rentals.

Really odd choices. I think i read they were basically double the price as well. There's nothing in them that would draw me to them unlike some of the other newer offering which visibly look great. Crazy. They look like every other lens from 10+ years ago...

I have the original CN-Es and I fail to see why I should get these. They are pretty much the same thing, but double the price per lens and with a PL mount. The EF version of these are pretty useless if you have the previous set and the worst part is that the previous CN-Es is hard to get. But considering that the previous set is half the price, just get that and a EF mount.

i am looking in to buying Sumires and only thing that concerns me is the fact that they cover 43.5mm less then Monstros 46mm. I saw several guys used them on Monstros, are there any issues?

here is some info. I'm pretty sure you get full coverage.

scroll down about halfway and it shows the crop areas for the Monstro.
