Cancelled by RED

Hello everyone ,
We ordered and paid for our Komodo Tue, Oct 13 .
RED promised ship order withs 2 weeks .

We already bought KipperTie Revolva RF/PL , Tilta cage and other accessories such as batteries and mags .

Ok , 2 week already passed .

Today RED refunded payment and cancelled our order without notifications .

WHY ?

Your order have been canceled ! That's weird ....but what's even weirder is that, when I checked my October 13th order (still processing... :-/ ), I've discovered a second order ( November 2) that I've haven't made !!! Maybe it's your Komodo )
I've sent 2 emails and tried to speak to someone using the Chat window on red.com ....Still no answers ....they must be super busy.
I guess everything will be fixed soon and I hope everything will be ok withyour order Malk.

super busy probably is the understatement of the century

...it's a minor thing, but did anyone else notice, too, that the black production models don't have white letters on the battery release buttons?! Let's hope that quality control remained superb on important stuff!

2 1/2 months ago I ordered my Stormtrooper and a couple days after i placed my order my buddy also ordered one too. We got 2 different people that were handling our accounts, I got some lady and he got some guy. Anyway, all of my transactions went smooth emailing and signing things, my card was charged and a week later it was on it's way. My buddy on the other hand did not go so well. He would email and not get responses back from his rep for many days and never charged his card. He got frustrated that after a few weeks he canceled and decided to wait till the black versions were released. His card has been charged now for a couple weeks but he is still waiting for his order to be shipped. So strange how smooth it went for me and what a nightmare it has been for him. Wonder how much the rep you get has to do with that, or shortly after my order they had issues which caused his delay.

My salesrep gave me an update today....the new order was created because they cannot add a name on the delivery address. Despite of a new order number created by this update my spot in the queue remain the same BUT Silverado Fire (in california near to production site) and the huge success of the Komodo lead to the delay of my shipping from October 31 ( estimated shipping date on the first automatic email ) to November 25....I'm so dissapointed :-/

The order may be cancelled and replaced with a new order. If the shipping is going to a country outside US there may be a tax reason for this. At least this is what happened me. The camera maintained it's place in line and has now arrived.

I kinda called it a few months back when I mentioned that Komodo will sell much more than anticipated due to it not really being a crash cam, but a valid A-cam for low budget productions. I knew this camera would blow up. It will probably be the most successful camera in Red's lineup, which shows just how a lower price-point becomes an exponential success increase.
