  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

FYI question for everyone:

Would you find it helpful if I did a full video review of these lights?

I would use them and set up a basic lighting plan, then set sound levels for a typical talking head, then run sound comparisons based on the lights with and without the Osram bulbs. We'd also go over a few noise reduction techniques to see how much better we can make them. Of course I'll also go over build quality and things light that.

Let me know if any of you would find this helpful.

Jay, that would be hugely helpful. I'm interested in picking up maybe one of each, but I'm very hesitant with cheap lighting these days - a video that gave a good impression of the build-quality, light quality and noise levels would be a tremendous help (I can't find any info about these lights online).

If you have the means to test the lights running from a portable generator that'd also be a big help (the Chinese HMIs I've rented in the past have had issues with anything that isn't mains power).
 
Anybody else send an e-mail and not get a reply yet? I've sent two, one early AM Saturday Xiamen time (Friday 11:30AM US-Pacific) and another early AM Sunday Xiamen time (Sat 11:46AM US-pacific). It's now 9:50AM Monday Xiamen time and I still haven't heard anything. Have checked my spam and trash folders. Maybe I just hit the weekend when no-one was working and need to wait?
 
Thanks Jay, I've done business with Joey a couple of times before and never had a problem, will try to be more patient now that I know it's not just me waiting.
 
That's interesting, as I just emailed him about longer header cables, and got a response a couple of hours later, just a couple of hours ago. And just for everyone's info, here's what he said:

Thanks for your email, we could make longer cable for you, 10 meter or 20 meter.

The 10m cable cost extra USD84, the 20m cable cost extra USD146.
 
Sorry guys, I cannot do the review video. Cannot get what I need from Joey to pull it off, perhaps some one in here who is buying lights can throw something together.

Guys remember to POST YOUR ORDERS. Vendors never like to admit how successful group buys are cause they fear next time around people will try for a better discount..
