  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Can we get a discount on the amount of lights we buy? Like if we buy 2 could it be a even 2k?
 
What models exactly are offered here, as CAME has two different models in their ebay shop?
 
The discounts are already set.. Get as many lights as you wish, but the numbers will not change. I should have ordering info for all of you today.

Only the old timers know this, but I did the very first group buy with ARRI and Abel Cine way back in the days before everyone and their uncle made accessories. This group buy is a little different since the discounts are not major, but the product itself is just SO DAMN CHEAP it's a great way for people who normally do not get into HMIs to have a chance to work with some. I have spoken to Joey about doing some demo video for you (Many of you know I do a lot of that as well) but for now, I just want to get this ball rolling.

I am going to get an answer on the plug, and once this is done, I will post ordering instructions.

I need you all to do 2 things for me:

1: Order as quickly as possible. joey does not haven endless stock. Wait too long and you may find yourself stuck in back order hell.
2: Once you make an order COME BACK HERE AND POST WHAT YOU PURCHASED.

If you like me running group buys I'll do more. But the best way for me to sell them is to have a thread to show vendors that not only did you all say "interested" but you also ORDERED. That's what moves people.

I am tough with the discounts. I don't run group buys for 10-15% most of the time.. If I don't see 20% or 25% then usually I turn them away. In THIS case, this guy's already giving it away. I'm not stupid. I try for the best deal I can get.

Okay we're nearing the end.. I'll keep you informed.

in your email along with your shipping address select the following items and tell him what you want:

1200W HMI light:
USD1034/pcs without bulb
USD1096/pcs with ordinary bulb
USD1232/pcs with OSRAM bulb

575w HMI Light
USD712/pcs without bulb
USD746/pcs with ordinary bulb
USD882/pcs with OSRAM bulb

Once he confirms your order, he will give you the paypal address to send payment too. ALL LIGHTS COME WITH 110v Plugs. No problems there.

Once you have made your order come back here and report on what you purchased. This pricing will not go into effect until we pass 10 lights total.

Price for extra osram bulbs?
Fpr 575 and 1.2k, most people are interested in par lights. Any chance you'll be getting any of those in the future?

A 575 par puts out more light outside than a 1.2k fresnel. Quadruple that for that 1.2k.
 
You are right, a PAR puts out 4x times the light.. And it just so happens they also cost about 4x more! These are the best lights you are going to find at this price.

If quality is your goal, I would suggest taking a look at my K5600 group buy. But be prepared to pay more than 3k for a single fixture.

If you want an extra bulb, just ask Joey and I'm sure he'll take care of you.

Edit - Vitaliy, looks like the exact same product, but for sale at a 'Buy it now' price and at an 'Auction' price. And am not too concerned myself if the lights are a bit noisy, but each to their own.

Nope, it is not same light. Ballasts are also different.

Ok, sorry, I see what you mean now. The second one has a dimmable ballast. I hope that's the one for sale here, if that's a better more recent version. I just assumed it was, based on this link provided earlier - http://www.camera-video-broadcast.c...ast-Dimmable-with-free-aluminum-case_124.html
 
Technology is just amazing.
I'm sitting in a plane at 39000 feet over the Gulf Of Mexico and I just made a payment and officially ordered a 1200 with Osram.
