okay so this is the group buy for the CAME HMI lights. There are two flavors:
1.2kw HMI
575w HMI

Email joey at: joey.9111@hotmail.com

Put in the subject line: Group buyer from Reduser

in your email along with your shipping address select the following items and tell him what you want:

1200W HMI light:
USD1034/pcs without bulb
USD1096/pcs with ordinary bulb
USD1232/pcs with OSRAM bulb

575w HMI Light
USD712/pcs without bulb
USD746/pcs with ordinary bulb
USD882/pcs with OSRAM bulb

Once she confirms your order, he will give you the paypal address to send payment too. ALL LIGHTS COME WITH 110v Plugs. No problems there.

Once you have made your order come back here and report on what you purchased. This pricing will not go into effect until we pass 10 lights total.

Good luck let me know what happens.

a minimum of 10 units will need to be sold to get this pricing. If you get better bulbs, then the lights will be hot strike. [/SIZE]

Normally when I run a group buy I look for FAR more aggressive discounts than this, however I think we all know joey is already cutting things as thin as possible, and there's just nowhere for him to go really.

Anyone interested in this? You will have to make some allowances, but if you don't have a lot of coin, and want to get into HMI lighting, then this is the best deal you are going to find.

Jay
I'll post more information as I get it.

Couple things you need to understand about the CAME HMIs:
1 These are NOT hot strke lights. Turn them off and you may have to wait 10 min to turn them back on. Getting better bulbs will solve this problem.
2 People say the bulbs that come with these lights are not wonderful.. They are noisy. So, again, plan on getting better bulbs
3 I hear the ballast fan is not that quiet. So this could be another consideration.

Some of you have these lights.. The more info you can share with us, the better.

Jay

Nice

And it looks like a replacement bulb for the 575 is about $100 and the 1200 about $200?

Just out of curiosity, what frame rates did you have issues with? I wouldn't typically trust an HMI over 120 FPS, although with testing I have used them up to 400fps.

Nick

The 1200 has flicker free mode and a quick look today showed me 60fps with no flicker....

The bulbs produce excellent light... It's just the noise.. Bzzzzzzzzzz

Non hot strike so yes, 10-15mins waiting time.

I'm interested in at least 1 maybe 2

How long are the header cable? Is there 1 or 2 that comes with it?

I almost CAME when I saw how low the prices were.

but seriously. I'm strongly considering one in the group buy - especially if they can give us an upgraded quieter fan in the ballast.

Maybe No bulb to save money, or like a separate group buy on a Philips/Osram HMI bulb?

BTW - sorry my joke was a bit blue. Blue like DAYLIGHT. Oh Man. I should stop while I'm ahead.

Dan,
No changes to these lights. Sorry.
Bulb or not will most likely not change the price.. Pretty low already.

I will ask joey about a price with no bulb.

Jay

Jay,

I will take two of the 1200s and two of the 575s. Pricing with no bulbs will make it a batter deal still. Looking forward to seeing the pricing with no bulbs.

Anyone has a link to where we can buy the bulbs ? Bulbs that operate at 240 volts, mains. I would like to get the replacements straight away.

Thanks,
