  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

"CAME" 6-17kg" steaidcam is the good

Mine took 7 days to arrive. I spent quite a while messing with it yesterday. I took most of it apart to get out the built in cables, as I am trying to keep it as basic as possible for taking into the mountains etc. I was hoping to run my battery belt clip from the bottom and run my power cable up the post and to the camera. The hole at the top of the post isn't big enough to get the cable through. so I am planning on using a dremel to make it larger. The cable running from bottom to top outside the post is a bit annoying.

My sled just came in but one of the rods used to bolt down the weights is bent. Will be contacting them today about it. Other then that and having to wait a extra day for the arm and vest. Looks good and feels good. I do wanna switch out these metal rods for carbon fiber though.

Can someone specify what attachments/mods they are doing to their rig to get it just right with monitors/batteries/etc? I'm planning on flying a DSLR, and potentially a Scarlet sometime soon, but I was just wondering what everyone's gear setup was.

I was wondering the same thing. I'm flying an Epic with Bartech wireless follow focus and Teradek bolt. I'd love to know what accessories would make my life easier with this configuration.

I ordered my Came Steadicam on Sept 5 and it just arrived in two boxes today. One of the threaded rods for the weights was bent but it only took a minor tweak to straighten it out. Otherwise, it looks great! I have a five day shoot but afterwards I plan on spending some time with this puppy :)

Bought a 6ft LCD cable and got the touch screen to work on the bottom of the sled.

For Red One?

For Red One?

So, for you who have received the rig, do you think it could support a bare Red One? It's a lot under 17kg.
I'm thinkin just the body and a prime lens, and wireless follow focus sometimes. Battery and monitor via cables on the sled.

According to one of the sales reps shipments are delayed until Sept 21st due to the Chinese Mooncake festival, if you don't hear from them for the next couple of days when you order

Yea, as long as you have metric and standard Allen keys, you can take it apart. And run the line. It took about 20 minutes for me to take it apart and put it back together.

I disagree. It can support the RED One, barely yes, but even with my Scarlet setup, I barely have any boom range at all. So, you could fly the RED One, but to say it's a good fit is pushing it.

Wow that price looks WAY too good to be true, if you guys weren't posting about it's performance I'd have put money that it was somehow a scam.

The quality control/shipping seems to be suspect, a couple of users received partially bent/broken sleds. I ordered one, will report back when I get it and set it up
