I'm almost 100% positive it was shot on RED. I know somebody who worked on it.

[Dominic Cochran]

It was definitely shot on RED

[Brad Wilson]

I can confirm that "Butterfly Effect 3" was definitely shot on RED Ones, because we supplied all their cameras, lenses, etc.

The Director of Photography, Dan Stoloff, also shot "Labor Pains" (starring Lindsay Lohan), and the yet to be released "Cougar Hunting" (they just wrapped a few weeks back) both on RED Ones we supplied.

I'll submit a change request to IMDb to reflect the actual acquisition format (RED)
