Why would you say that it is impossible to hook up the 2/3 Fixed to a 35mm adapter Andrew? All cameras being rigged to adapters now are fixed lenses... What would be the difference between those and the Scarlet?
anybody who has shot a least bit with professional 2/3" cameras should know that they provide more than enough depth of field for whatever you need to do(especially if you use good glass).
just a curiosity how thay mange to put red prime or red zoom 18-85 on scarlet 2/3 cinema when thay took those lisy and oakly watch pics.may be we dont need any adapter if not then how the focal lenght and crop factor will work and how we can translate 18-85 red zoom on scarlet 2/3.
Which footage/pics are you refering to, because I don't know of any footage made public shot with the 2/3" Scarlet (or any Scarlet for that matter.).
From a while back:

I forget where the oakley watch picture is, but www.camerarentalz.com has all of the scarlet/epic pictures released thus far, you just have to look back for them.
Why the hell would you want to put a 35mm adapter on a Scarlet? That's like putting an adapter on the 5D or 7D. Bigger sensor, better lenses- that makes no sense.
But seriously now why would you put a huge contraption on the front of the camera and makes it hard to hold, heavy, flimsy and then cuts sharpness and any auto controls??? think people think
