  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Building my own battery...

Hi Brook,

Rathbone energy specializes in rebuilding Anton Bauer Packs. They can also do custom builds and forms. They are pretty nice to work with and may be able to do something for you if the airsoft idea doest generate enough juice.

Thanks, Owen. I'll check it out.

To those that are interested, here's the footage Greg shot for Arri last year. Joe Jennings flew B camera [a 2C].

Alright, it seems that the camera has an absolute maximum startup draw of 12A and a stable draw of 4.5A.

Assuming my cables are rated to withstand a 5A draw, A ~54WH battery should work. I've seen people run the RED on Anton Bauer 50WH batteries, so it just may cut it.

Worst case scenario, I can build a "Y" cable to start the camera with a RED BRICK and run the camera with a smaller onboard battery. Use the RED BRICK to start the camera in the plane and remove it before exit.
