Hey guys, having issues with the new Build 30 false color that is either a bug, or makes false color worthless.

I downloaded the build 3.5.0 manual and this is what I understand from it. There are now two modes of FC. One ("Exposure") shows under exposure (purple) and over (red). The other (now called "Video") is the old FC and is based on the color space mode (although, does this mean if you switch the view into RAW mode it's showing you the levels for RAW, or is it still for REDColor?)

Okay, so here's the issue I am having. If I am in "Video" FC mode, no matter what I do I can not get any yellow, orange, or red to come up on high/over exposed spots on my image. I can be way overexposed, and nothing happens. Even when I iris down none of those colors come up, while green, pink, and blue will come up.

However, if I have my iris open and switch from exposure to video FC mode, I will get a flash of yellow on some of image that is running hot. Therefore, I am wondering if there is a bug that is not letting my RED monitor FC correctly...either that or I totally don't understand how FC works now (which if that's the case, FC needs to go back to the old, useful style.)

BTW, my RED is not an MX camera.

False Colors in Build 30

Well we have discussed this at some length in recent posts, so do a search for that, but the summary is the multi-color mode is no longer used for exposure.

Switch to "video FC" mode. Then go to the video menu and color, then adjust your exposure to about 0.7 - this gave me a FC simular to the old FC in RAW mode - works only for 320iso I think.
