  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

So this has to be an anomaly.

I am hanging out this week with my friends from over 50 years. That's right. 50 years.

Terry, Tim, Ron, Jimmy, Barry, Scott, and Gary.

We get to together almost every year. This year at RSH. With any luck we will be on set for "Candelabra". Shot on RED at REDStudios Hollywood. Steven Soderbergh.

Life is short. Friendships are long... if you are lucky. I seem to be...

That's very impressive. I was having similar reflective thoughts during a birthday dinner tonight with friends I've had for 16 years, but 50; that's a whole different ball game.

And the rest of the year you are often seen hanging out with your other thousands of friends here on Reduser. '-)
 
Jim, you are so right. As one gets older, one realizes just how important one's real friendships are. This was brought home to me recently when I heard my fishing buddy of almost 40 years, Bob, is being taken from me. (Cancer.) A month ago I got to fish with him one more time on "our" old river. He's still with us, but is decaying fast. It makes you realize how short life really is.

Cherish life, and those friendships everyone.

Phil, first you have to be 50 before you can have friends for 50 years!! LOL

Jim, I have similar joys but my friends have only been there for about 40-45 years. But, we're still going strong!
 
As you said, you're lucky that you have these friendships! I call myself lucky already for having some of my best friends for around 20 years. Good on you Jim! Enjoy the time with them!
 
Many of you are very lucky... some of my close friends have been departed for some years now. But I've been fortunate enough to make new ones.
