  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Bringing my Epic into the HEART of Arri country... 1st of new Mercedes Campaign...

I love traveling with my Epic. What other camera can you pack into its original Pelican case and bring with you on the plane as a carry-on! I do just that quite often. I'll get lenses, matte boxes, tripods and accessories locally, but the body comes with me! This is the first of 5 new spots I shot this past June in Europe for Mercedes and a German production company! This one wasn't even my favorite of the 5, but enjoy nonetheless!

I manage to fit my Scarlet, lenses, mattebox, filters, batteries, handgrip, bomb, redmag, laptop, harddisks and a whole bunch of accessories all into a carry-on bagpack by Thinktank. Heavy, but naver gave me trouble as long as I show up early for the security check and inform the security guys before they scan the bag. Actually looks quite cool on the screen.
 
Yea, some funny looks going through security for sure. Have to also be careful with carnet rules for each particular country!

I did the previous campaign for Mercedes earlier this year as well... Shot in anamorphic with 3 Epics in Munich... They originally had Alexas on hold! Here's a link to that one as well.

 
Amazing images! (I can't say I understand the story of the first one - The navigator takes you to a parking space that isn't one?). MB has changed quite a bit, good to see them using dubstep now (or is that only in the director's cut?). Awesome grading, too. Inspiring, indeed.

Chris your work is amazing, i really like the way the car was lit and bold way you lit the interior of the car with the talent.

Hey Señor Probst... always next time. Wasn't the same without ya.

Funny story... 2 of the girls remembered me by name for some bizzare reason... (??) They asked if I remembered their names... I drew a complete blank. How often does that happen?

Those mercedes commercials are looking shit hot man... damn... I would like to ask how they were done, but there is probably so much to cover with that one question...!
