  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Hi all,

The Bright Tangerine DSMC2 Accessories are now in stock & shipping.

We have a few different options available.

The full kit composts of the 15mm LWS baseplate and sliding top plate and carry handle.
15mm baseplate has a sliding dovetail plate which is also ARRI dovetail standard.
Same on the top plate but it has the RS port

The top plate & top handle have been approved by RED.

It should be noted that though that's the DSMC2 specific stuff, if you are a 19mm rod user (like me) BT offers the Left Field 19mm Studio QR Bridge Plate:

Which I believe is compatible with the LWS 15mm Baseplate, but I haven't seen that rigged just yet.

And yes, they should offer an anodized black version, especially since there's a couple images of them onllne :)

Actually it's not noted if you get a gray or black version anywhere, but I see mostly gray product images, but black in product videos and demos.

Yes, the Left Field 19mm QR Bridgeplate is compatible with RED. It's actually convertible from RED & ARRI height standards. If you were at NAB, it was on the RED Ranger at the RED room.

The images above are shown with the dovetail using the 15mm LWS baseplate for those who want to stay on 15mm but still use a dovetail.

We do need to fix up our renders as they do look grey, but they are all black anodized. The plan was to replace them all with real photos of the products.

It will all be on show at Cinegear as well.

Awesome Tim! I just ordered the basebplate and drumstixs for a Gemini package we're building out. Excited to get them in and put it through the paces.
 
Is there a saftey pin or something like that to prevent the handle plate from sliding out of the top plate?
 
Hi Bright Tangerine Guys,

one question to the Left Field Top Plate DSMC2.
Can i use the R/S port and connect it to a nucleus-M motor to have Start/Stop working and still have the control port om my dsmc2 camera free for use for a movi pro control cable for example?
