I was under the impression that there was already an anodization process for that.

Wikipedia says that you can dye an anodization pretty much any color, and there is a pink aluminum laptop.

Now that would make it all a bit silly... but just think about the oppurtunities... You say, I'm gonna film all this... press record. Then no need to actually hire a full crew and all of the actual equipment... you've already filmed it using a temporary state of alternate future past.
