I believe it's always had been shot on film, not sure about the 35 mm though. I do know, that Sony Pictureworks are hard at work remastering it all in glorious 4K.

The final season for Dexter was just awful overall. There were a few highlights, but the final episode blew.

As for Breaking Bad, I love it, but it's not the best ever. To me, it's hands down The Sopranos.

And the folks who are running the show on Boardwalk Empire are pretty good too...many of whom moved over from Sopranos.

The Sopranos doesn't match up. Every Breaking Bad episode has a point, is well executed and none were throw away episodes.

Walter White is not a man who loses to anyone anymore, where as before he let life beat him down, he won't let anything or anyone get the best of him.

The Granite State episode showed his own personal hell...he went from everything to absolutely nothing.

I'm guessing he'll ingest the ricin too, because it's either he kills himself or the cancer kills him...and he won't let the cancer to win. Walter White will only let Walter White beat himself.
