  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Bomb EVF vs. other View Finders

Here's an interesting question then. I see the Pro I/O module is estimated to raise in price in January. However it won't be released until January, haha. Does this mean that we wont have the opportunity to buy it at the cheaper price?

I'm interested to hear people's experience using the bomb on an Epic. So far I've had great results on the Red One but not so with the Epic.
My DP 4 is amazing value for money. Very versatile. Well worth every cent. My Bomb has yet to prove its worth what I paid for it. I'm hoping firmware upgrades will improve the use ability on the Epic.
The last time I tried a bomb on an Epic was 3 months ago. I'd be interested to hear if there has been any improvements via firmware since then. There is a sync problem on the Epic which you can overcome with a setting on he R1 but the last time I looked it didn't exist on the Epic.

Yeah, and that one still only has a resolution 840x400. The Bomb has a 720p screen sitting inside of it. So that's far superior than anything else I have been seeing. The only downside is that you can't run both the LCD Touch and the Bomb EVF at the same time, correct?

I thought the bomb was a 1080 screen?

I like the original RED EVF. Yes, it is twice the size and weight of the Bomb, but for my particular eyes it worth it. And you can get one here on reduser for less than half the price of the Bomb. I mostly go with the Bomb just for handheld.
