  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Bomb EVF Shipping

Any news regarding the backordered situation?
I always receive the same answer from my Bomb Squad rep: "we estimate that all existing orders for the BOMB EVF will be delivered in the coming few months"...
Don't want to be a pain in the #*s but I'd like to know if I will receive mine one day...
Zacuto, Redrock and co are options I haven't considered till now but I will maybe have to give them a try...

I am still waiting for my BOMB EVF , ordered since october last year....and still waiting...can someone sell me their EVF please...thanks

LOL... add two years to any timeline from RED. In the case of Bomb EVF add 3 years and then it's discontinued and then wait 3 more years for Nuclear EVF.
 
How long have you had to wait for your free upgrades?

Upgrades? Or features that were promised from the beginning but implemented at a later date in order to get the cameras out the door and into the eager hands of customers?

it is pretty funny.. we are shipping EVF's daily.. and nobody ever comes back and posts " I got mine ".. they just disappear into the woods :)

Hmmm...I literally do disappear with Red cameras into the real woods here in the Rocky Mountains on a regular basis :)

But there are a few of us who have posted on this thread that we've received our Bomb EVF, and then came back to this thread (and others) regularly and posted our field use impressions of it. I'm one of those who has done that to the tune of several posts on this thread.

Like Blair I'd like to invite others who've received theirs to give back to this community by doing the same thing :thumbup1:

But seriously, would be major if a few could chime in about getting theirs. There are loads of people getting EPIC-Ms and posting about it and so far I haven't heard a single complaint about "where's my EPIC-X?" - which I think, in part, is because people can wait their turn if they know the cookie table is coming around to them eventually; but right now it looks like the BOMB cake has been eaten up by some Machiavellian beast and there is nothing left (though I don't doubt for a second what you're saying is true).

Ugh, all that talk of cookies... now I gotta go bake a cake and count the days for my EPIC-S!

Because the REDuser reaction if the number seems low will be be "I knew you guys weren't shipping that many!" and if the number seems high "I've had a reservation since X date and I KNOW I should have been served!!!"

The Bomb EVF saga has been in "no-win" territory for a long time.
 
Nobody getting an M camera is getting a Bomb shipped with their M. They have to wait at the back of the line... Behind everyone who already placed an order for a Bomb over a year ago.. Or at least over a year ago... I was told that a Bomb wouldn't come with an M but the Bomb I had on order since July 2010 would come before the M-Bomb would hit...
