Bomb EVF Shipping

This long journey looks like it is finally coming to an end.... almost :)

Backordered on an EVF since Aug 09 and still no shipment notification so either the batch in CA is VERY small or we've slipped through the cracks.

Again.

Cail, I'm with you... ordered an EVF in Nov 09 and still nothing...

dont worry guys... things will get back on track soon.. EVERYONE has been waiting waaaaaayyyy too long.

Why was the Offhollywood comment taken down?

Guys ordered an EVF in Feb 23 2010 and still nothing!!! any news? any updates...? anything???

There were a lot of people in front of you - way in front of you. The untimely death of the original EVF has made for quite a waiting list. Those of us with an EVF and a Bomb on order will be waiting a while (and fair enough too).

What's the purpose of writing "Bomb" in large letters on the side of a piece of gear destined to explore the limits of human intellectual frailty in the guise of the TSA?

I just returned from St. Louis with my Red neatly packed in my Halliburton aluminum carry-on case and was forced to watch a ham-handed agent unpack and examine my camera, LCD, EVF, and all the other bits as if each piece was made of indestructible scrap metal. I must have said, "please be careful, very fragile," a dozen times and cringed when he carried tub of disassembled Red pieces and the Halliburton, one under each arm to rescan everything after swabbing down every piece.

Had I been carrying the new "Bomb" EVF, I would probably be cooling off in a third-world secret CIA prison trying to smuggle out a note to the Bomb Squad. Yikes! If they found that, I'd be summarily shot.

I know the good men of Red are the running of the bulls sort of daredevils, but this "Bomb" business might not be such a great idea.

Good shooting and best regards,

Leo

Hey Leo,

Sorry you did not say "hi" while you were here!

Why was the Offhollywood comment taken down?

It was taken down by me - because one of my techs who is in the mountains shooting a movie with Lawrence Kasdan posted a comment about a pre-production / test unit of the Bomb EVF - which he did not know (my fault) was a pre-production unit - we don't post comments (for obvious reasons) about pre-production units - I deleted his post to avoid confusion. Trust me - you want the Bomb EVF yesterday.
