  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

There is no "add to cart" button for the old EVF, so that will not work.

I am curious when deposits can be placed for the Bomb EVF as well. :huh:
 
it's like: A LOT! But please just someone confirm me the obvious: it is an essential tool considering the shallow depth of field we will be dealing with 2/3rd and 35mm, an on board monitor just won't cut it, right?
 
Jarred - can we make an Oakley Ski Goggle strap and extra long EVF cable accessory pack so I can wear the Bomb EVF like a monocle?

A few other operators and I were talking about how awesome that would be - even if everyone makes fun of us at first. No more hunchback or anti-pilates operator poses to get the shot.

How cool is it that RED integrated the eyepiece heater? And a second heater to prevent issues commonly associated with extreme cold conditions. Reliability is one of the nicest specs.

Man, I'm 0 for 3 so far this week on questions, starting Monday night!

Sooooo, persistence pays off, right?

I can see what looks like 2 buttons on the BEVF, can you access the EVF menu on the Red One? My favorite thing about the EVF is being able to adjust audio levels on it, without digging through menus.

Is this, or will this, be possible?

Hope you are making as many as you can, so that when we order it will not take a long time to be sent.
My original EVF has been playing games with me recently (not turning on...turning off in the middle of a take...going green...) and I really need a new EVF.
 
Since Alexa is on a delay - how about buying the ARRI EVF then modify it to work on the RED or any digital camera.

Also I do have Zacuto ZRED Mount Kit #Z-RED-EVF + RED Zwivel, also think it would fit perfect and much better than any arm...

And a better solution would be what?

Plenty of situations here where a viewfinder is the only truly viable option. Don't like viewfinders? Don't buy one. That's the beauty of the modularity.

Nice! Or for 3D why not go nuts and make a helmet with one EVF for each eye. :hat:

It could work, if you fix the angles correctly.
