  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Bomb EVF Shipping

Great news about the EVF's. I'm really digging the weekly updates. Things happen so fast, a weekly tentative update is more than enough for most.

How about a weekly update on new media ( RED Drive replacement)

As you might expect, I do :)

Also, clear back in early March I field tested a prototype Bomb EVF on RED 0008 while shooting the classic rock band Heart in concert in Seattle. I loved the Bomb EVF prototype then - and I love my own Bomb EVF now.

The original Red EVF is excellent - but the Bomb takes it to the next level - small, light, crisp, excellent diopter and electronics. For the usually very mobile work I do, and thus the need to keep my field kits as light as possible, the Bomb is definitely a serious upgrade to my kits :thumbup1:

IMO anyone who tests out the Bomb will be very impressed...

Hey Ketch! Nah...I'd never abandon Red User...I just post less because I'm constantly out doing production with my Red cameras, and usually that is somewhere remote where Internet access is difficult. I'm real busy by choice :)

Our new ranch in southern Utah is way cool - in the middle of mountains, red canyons, and several National Parks. We're having a lot of fun in our work - life is good.

As I mentioned previously, I'm seriously loving the Bomb EVF for use in the mobile genres of work I do. That said, IMO it will also be an equally great tool for use in more stationary styles of production.

I have been on the back-order list since January! Still no email.

The "estimated shipping date" has changed so many times, it is extremely disheartening! ... "Late January" , "February" , "Late Spring" , "Early Summer" , "Early August", "Late August/Early September". All have passed & still no word.

I've had to give up on believing anyone by now. Still hoping that someday the missing link will arrive & my RED-X PKG will be complete.

Same exact thing here, backordered since 2009, I've been EVF-less for much too long.
