I wonder if any new camera?

If BM introduces a new cheap camera against a $3k-$7k Hydrogen modular system, they can easily survive. But against a $2k hydrogen, it would be more difficult.

Relative to the small pocket camera.

Well, they didn't know that. It is one of their top sellers.

Ok, they have released a cheap pro video camera version of the mini, using the old studio mini sensor by the look of it.

It seems to have all the broadcast stuff, and will likely be a winner in small local video outfits. But I'm underwhelmed by the 12 stop sensor and footage I've seen. But for this crowd just satusteba bit more in camera and they will be happy. However, for want to be film makers, it presents a cheap viable option. If only it was $2,000 and had a better sensor waith much more stops than 12 stops.

If you want better for cinema filming, maybe a Red camera with Dragon or Helium. No match for a helium sensor. But I suspect the hydrogen phone by itself would be able to match it's image quality somewhat (depending on how multipoint the rear camera ready is, as two lens is not my favourite for post bokeh, but 4 would help).

Red just lost 50% of their sales I think.

i still use that pocket camera all the time, mainly as an artsy running around camera for me when im on cranes and steadicams and not operating, i need something!
