  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

"blur" - EPIC-M and Cooke iPanchros @ Night (Fashion Photography Video)

Thanks for posting this test. Its a great representation of what can be accomplished with the new Cooke iPanchros and an Epic M at night. I love this combo!

Beautiful Norm
Yes, it would seem the Panchro's & Epic is a great combination. A bit of a sidetrack question - I think you once used Red Pro Primes on an Arri film camera. What was your impression in terms of sharpness , illumination etc? Cheers

great work, how much additional light did you use? looked pretty run and gun (good thing, good mood), so lite panels, china balls or what? or is it all available light? thanks

Yes, I used my RPP's on an Arri-3 before with Super35mm and it looked really sharp on the CRT grading monitor at Technicolor and even field illumination, and nice contrast. I didn't do formal tests with it but rather just see how it looks in 'practical' shooting scenarios. I thought it looked great. Just found the link:

Thanks for all the information you freely give out Norm, you deserve a medal

Norm, an exhibition of my work is confirmed for Dec 8th at Winsor Gallery, on Granville St.

Please consider attending, it would be a pleasure to meet you.

Great work. Thanks for sharing.

I liked the mood. Did you use the flashlights to create the flares? If so how did you operate them?

Yes, occasionally I would hold one flashlight while handholding but it was tough to pull focus, flare, and operate at the same time so I had my gaffer do most of the specific flaring for me.
