Today I noticed some erroneous pixels in some footage, and I can't figure out what caused it, so I'm hoping someone else can help. In the 400GB we've shot in 2 days, I've noticed this problem on 3 takes of 1 shot. This shot was an underexposed silhouette, racking in and out of focus. At 4K full-debayer, the problem looks like a single pixel of solid blue (white in one case) that is only visible for one frame. I've transcoded all the shots to ProRes already, with no errors, so I know this will be easy to fix with "digital dust-busting", but I want to understand what caused it. The bad pixel does show up in the transcode too.
Here is an R3D snapshot of one of the frames: https://docs.google.com/open?id=0B52QuT8oHvtZN2NuM3J3Y0tSRVU
We're shooting on Scarlet-X, firmware 3.2.21. Shooting 4K Redcode 6:1 at 800 ISO.
I've seen the same sort of blue pixel on Canon 7D footage, but in that case it was persistent, and Canon replaced the whole body under warranty. This time it's only on select pixels, so I wouldn't call it a "dead" pixel necessarily.
