  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Is there any update on when the Black production cameras will be released? Personally this is the model that I’m interested in.
 
I believe end of August is the current target. That's most likely when you'll see some of users on the list get their black models. I don't think we see it on official resellers until mid-late September though.

That was before COVID messed the world up. Last I heard it was around September, which is next month.

Not a joke. Don't get me wrong... The 12k is on my shortlist. And its understandable that the retail release has been delayed but BM is not known for steady releases.
 
DEFINITELY DO NOT plan something around it. I got my Stormtrooper Komodo last week and although its way way better than I ever expected it is very much beta. So many features are not yet turned on. I'm still shooting my paid jobs with my Helium and the Komodo comes along as a free b-cam while I test away with that little funbox.

And that's why I asked. I couldn't tell if you were just making a joke about the Komodo being delayed or misinterpreted the topic/question to mean a BMD camera.

The OP was asking about the black(color) (meaning the) full production model Komodo, not a Black Magic camera.
