I personally don't know why we ever all settled on V-Mount in the first place. I've had them pop off sooooo many times - a few times in very precarious situations. I often bongo them on if I think I might be able to bump them off. That just seems stupid to have to do that in an industy of such innovation.

I am not a fan of V-Mount either, I prefer AB mount myself, when I am not using Redvolt XLs.

AB Gold Mount rocks, but 90% of my gigs we live on V-mount. I like the idea of a better mount that also supports existing V-mount to facilitate a transition. Hope it catches on!
