Graeme's new magic will be released soon as a camera firmware upgrade and a new REDCINE-X Pro release.

This one is significant. You will want to install and use both. The improvement to the monitor path is meaningful.

The new workflow in REDCINE-X Pro you should consider will be (as a base)...

REDcolor3
REDgamma3
Alchemy +0.3
Default everything else.
(You can set this as a look in RCX-P and apply to all your clips)

Adjust WB if needed.
Adjust FLUT if needed.

Grade as needed from there.

Works great on new and old footage...

Advanced DI- Use REDlogFilm as before...

For those that are newer in the RED world... Jim means it.

When REDgamma/REDcolor showed up to replace an aging REDspace, it was huge. The color separation and new "feel" was remarkable.

When RG2 showed up, it was a huge step. REDlogFilm was particularly impressive, finally giving access to so much of the camera's dynamic range in one log file.

I have extremely high hopes for RG3/RC3... it's certain to be another huge step.

The best part of all of those steps? I can take the footage that I shot on day one of the RED One's release and process it with the newest tools. To this day that footage [and all the rest of my footage] continues to improve.

Can Adobe products (Premiere/Adobe Media Encoder) load the RMD's properly if I build the looks in RedCineX-Pro but edit in Premiere or use AME to transcode?
