"BEYOND THE BLACK RAINBOW" Official Trailer on APPLE Trailers!

[NormLi]

So yesterday I discover the super art-house sci-fi feature I shot called BEYOND THE BLACK RAINBOW was launched on APPLE's trailer site on the top of the page with a large banner. I'm really excited about this and wanted to share the news. This film has screened at Tribeca, Fantasia, Fantastic, Whistler, AFI Film Festivals, etc. and has been reviewed with many comparing the style with Kubrick, Tsarkovsky, Argento, Cronenberg, Lynch, Carpenter...

I shot this on Panavision 2-perf 35mm and Fuji Eterna 400T stock.

Picked up and distributed by Magnet and Magnolia Pictures.

Wow, I would really like to see it. There are a lot of really great shots in the trailer and I'm sure there are a ton more of them in the full movie.

And I just LOVE the grain!

Really intriguing work. It reminds me of early Polanski and Kubrick.

I loved to look of the film. Spot on tribute to the 80's science fiction aesthetic.

[Nils J. Nesse]

I saw this trailer, coolest thing I've seen in ages. Then noticed the cinematographer's name, recognized it from this forum, found this thread.

Awesome work, Norm!

[NormLi]

Thanks everyone

I'm very proud of this film. It's definitely something very different from the 'norm'...no pun intended.

[Filip Orlandic]

Great work man!

Your cinematography is really inspiring!

[Gavin Greenwalt]

Trippy. I feel like I understand it even less than the last trailer haha. I wonder what I'll think happened after seeing the whole thing. I'm definitely getting some good Solaris vibes/homage from the cinematography which is fantastic.

Nice Palette.
