Now that you have Burst selected, back out and see how fast it allows you to set the FPS for recording, in 4K or 5K. Also, what compression ratio (a lower compretion ratio (as in 5:1 versus 8:1) could be one of the benefits of Burst mode.)

Hmmh. After update my screen shows a license agreement, and I'm supposed to select "AGREE" to continue - but Epic does not respond to REDmote, docked or otherwise. I don't have a touch screen nor a side handle. Guess I'm up the creek and no paddle in sight.

No change in available FPS if Burst is on or off.
Compression becomes selectable down to 3:1 in any FPS, but Pre/Post Count available frames goes down when this is changed.
Not sure exactly what this does yet...

that doesn't sound right. you've been able to select/limit a number of frames to record.

perhaps this is just a better compression thing, but i kinda doubt it and would expect to hear more about framerates.

New Beta firmware looks very good. A couple of quick observations (I skipped the previous build so not sure everything is really new):
- look & feel slightly improved, everything you select is marked in a clear color red
- SSD indication now shows 'minutes left' !!
- redgamma 4 included
- blackshading/calibrating seems to go much faster
- havent used the horizon indicator previously but it looks nice & useful
- burst mode no idea how this should work (ok, you can select a number of frames to record but nothing about high speed)
- assign Record Mark Frame to a soft key to mark important moments in interviews, nice, you see them directly in preview... must test this in RCX
- loads of new modules enabled
- feels solid, nothing strange happened sofa
