I've been using the Beast for two years now and absolutely love it. It's very easy to balance and the new auto tune works great.
Sure it could use some work on the stand (not that stable), fine front/back and side to side adjustment would be nice to have a worm gear, and the camera plate is not long enough for short PL zooms. But performance is really good and it's fantastic when it comes to reliability on set. Battery consumption is really good as well.
But two of the best features are:
1-All the tuning can be done with the on board manager, no iPhone or laptop necessary.
2-It's able to invert without re-balancing and the camera is right side up.....which is a big help of not having to turn the village monitors up side down, not to mention flipping the clips in post.
All in all, it was worth the wait.
