BeSteady FOUR Thread

Hi Greg,

we aren't dodging anything, we were waiting for you during our first appointment for 2 hours. Next one from my point of view will be on Friday (02 Sep). We have some other plans and work to do so we can't be at your disposal 24/7 - and yes, we know that speaking with you is important, but some things can be even more. It isn't so simple to catch us all in the office.

See you on Friday.

Peter
The first date you cancelled saying you couldn't make it.

Second one I sent you and email at 5.41pm saying I was trying to call you and you already had my Skype name that I emailed you a week prior. Don't make out I wasn't there on the call. If you waited for 2 hours why did you not reply to my email at 5.41pm asking what the problem was. I also sent you Skype text message to you at 5.37pm

Third one you cancelled 2 hours before (but only via Skype text - so I only found out when I logged in at 5.25pm!)

Not looking for 24/7 access - far from it - just a simple Skype call at your agreed time and for you to keep your agreed appointment. Too much to ask? I've fitted in with every time frame you gave me (including your holidays, not in the office days, Tuesday to Friday, 10am to 6pm etc).

You are not the only one who is busy with ever-changing priorities and deadlines. Thats life, but you manage it

it does sum up your whole business operation that we go for 3 weeks and still can't even get a simple Skype call achieved.

Just a friendly Timekeeper update...

Currently it's 16:52 in the UK (04:52pm).

My BEAST is apparently still in customs...think we are coming up on 30 days since I sent it...such BS. I thought DJI service was bad....man...perspective

Piotr and crew, it might be time to wake up and do something... We were really close to start trusting you...

Guys,

it is beyond our control to force custom office to release our packages before they will finish processing it. The main complication is fact, that those units are being shipped from outside EU for warranty repairs - it requires to process them in special way as those will be returning to sender after the repair is complete. It's the main reason why we are preparing guys from Drone Nerds to provide such repairs on site in US - to avoid that and make it much faster. Right now those units are being checked very thoroughly going in and going out again in accordance to special custom procedure and it takes time.

We hope we won't have to deal with that much longer as technicians in Drone Nerds should be ready soon to perform even most complicated repairs on site.

Best
Peter

Refunds Update:

I finally managed to get Peter and Max on a Skype call on Friday (time zones was never the problem - I am in the same time zone as Warsaw).

Unfortunately there was no progress to speak of.

I finally got an answer to ‘taking delivery, but returning the goods as not as described and getting a refund”. The answer is - Not applicable. They say if it was returned the refund could only ever come from BeSteady not ACR.

The answer regarding the Polish Tax office allowing refunds from ACR has not been answered. Still waiting on feedback from Tax Office apparently.

They both assured me that closure to the saga had a very good chance of coming to a successful end (ie. refunds issued) within 2 months. When I pushed them on this, it turns out this is just based on their hunch regarding legal proceedings. When pushed further they admitted they cannot give any real assurance of when/if refunds will be given. 2 months, 2 years, 2 decades, or never - anything is possible.

Its unbelievably frustrating when they open with a big statement like ‘you’ll all get a full refund within two months’. Only to back down from it completely when I actually get them expand on the actual facts on the ground.

I did learn that there are 6 people asking for refunds. So we are talking about £18,000 worth of refunds. Hard to believe they cant find a way to save their reputation for such a small amount.

I didn’t bother going into questions about all the previous screw ups from them over the last 3 years. I never felt like they were going really own up to them in any meaningful way.

I tried to point out their atrocious communications skills here on Reduser - but they seem to have an excuse for each point and followed it with a ‘but…’. or a ‘customers are never happy with what we tell them”. Still no excuse for not communicating… Customers the world over are never going to be happy. But that is business - any business. Unfortunately, if you want to stay in business you do actually need those pesky things called ‘customers’. I left them with a recommendation of getting some external professional help for their comms

Conclusion: I will wait out the fairytale 2 months they are holding onto. After that it will have to become a debt collectors scenario.

I still expect them to update us regularly. It will not be acceptable to go for 2 months without telling us what is going on. We will not fade away into the night over this...

I know there are many others watching this situation closely to see what sort of company this is and whether they are worth trusting in the future. My opinion on them has not changed. I will not trust them until I receive a full refund and they start a professional communications regime with us all.

Hello Guys,

we hope that this entire group buy with all the problems will be closed in those two months time. We are doing all we can to finish it up as fast as possible.

Maybe then we will be able to focus on future instead of dwelling in the past. We have ambitious plans for the future and we would very much like to improve on every field we aren't meeting your expectations at the moment.

I will bee keeping you updated.

Guys,

I need your help. I have send document that is confirming that you have received your unit. It's needed to close the refund situation, so please send signed scan back to me. Please do it even if you have sold your unit, you were original person that purchase it from BeSteady - you can add information about it on that form.

In case you haven't received that e-mail from me - please contact me at peter (at) acr-sys.com - as I have received some reports that those massages weren't delivered successfully.

Thank you for your help
Peter

Hi Peter,

I'm just waiting for a set of pens to arrive in a few weeks that are needed to sign said document. I'll provide another update then. Have a nice weekend!

Do I detect another ploy to delay refunds... i.e. "Sorry - can't refund yet - still waiting for everyone to return their form..." and then "Sorry, still waiting for the last few forms to be returned... its out of our hands..." etc etc...

I hope not. But it does seem odd to have to get everyone who received their unit to then sign a form and send it back, weeks or even months after they received it.

I'd guess that most just want to move on and leave the nightmare behind and not get involved again by having to sign a form and send it back.

Wouldn't delivery via courier already confirm delivery?? I'm sure you have all the customs and delivery documents saved for each unit you've sent.

**UPDATE**

So 2 months later I have my BEAST back. I will fire it up this week and hope its all good. hopefully service through DRONENERDS is close? Peter? 2 months is a long time for repair/return...

also they did not change out the screws for the LOCK N LOAD V2 as they agreed
I had to use what I could find at home depot as my V2 kit did not come with any screws

2 months to do 2 things and they only got 1 right

Hi Piotr,
I received a package from US customs from BeSteady and I accepted it and I went out of town for a while and when I returned home and open the package it contained a remote controller for a remote controlled plane or car. Can you check your inventory and send my unit ASAP.

Hello Will,

I have contacted UPS with question what is going on with your package. It was send to you on 22-07 so it should be in your hands months ago as standard delivery time is up to 5 days. I'm checking it out right now. I will send you e-mail when I will have some information.

Those 2 months end tomorrow i guess. Did anyone get some feedback in regards of this?

Is there any improvement about the Beast?
Beside the same tutorial, there is almost no ressources online, no real forum, etc...
My unit works but I'm still dealing with shit tons of vibrations after autotuning and the best way to get rid of them is to reset to default... I can play as much as I want the manual tuning, motors still vibrate like crazy...
Honnestly, it could be a really good tool but it's far from being perfect and when you get in touch with customer service now it's either "read the manual and watch the tutorials" or no answer at all...
When you thought that getting your unit was the most challenging part...
